Google Adwords
If you dont know what adwords are - they are the "sponsored link" ads that appear to the right and just above the search results in google. They are , roughly, the internet equivalent to classified ads. Only how they work is you designate how much you are willing to pay every time someone clicks on your ad and visits your site. It's called Pay Per Click Advertising. And each click can cost as little as 10cents and as much as $50 or more.
Unless you know what you're doing you can spend a lot of money just learning how to get the most out of adwords! I did.
So don't do what I did either learn how to do it (it's not really that hard) or outsource it.
Learn how to do it yourself . The undisputed king of adwords is Perry Marshall. He has a great book called the Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords. Its under $60 and is a must read. It will save you a lot of time and money. Join his free email newsletter and buy his book here
Outsource it: even if you do get Perry's book you'll still need to invest time in getting your adwords campaign up and running. Time you may not have. If that is the case then give it to someone who does this professionally for a living. For US$99 a month these guys will do it all for you. Directory Advertising
