    Resource Area

Check back often as this page will be updated....

I will try and make this as simple, logical - and as cheap - as possible. Let's start with....

    Copywriting

So first thing you need (maybe) is some direction with the wording and copywriting of your site

So really for copywriting all you need to know is two words Brett McFall. He's Australia's top copywriter and really I love his stuff - it is so easy to understand. Now he does offer a lot of free advice but his paid stuff generally has a price tag of hundreds to thousands of dollars. Its worth it if you can stretch it. Here's his site- sign up for his newsletter if nothing else:  http://www.brettmcfall.com/index.html

    Graphics

Next what about those graphics! You need to drop the resolution to about 75-100dpi and crop or reduce the size down so that a 3meg digital camera image drops to a web friendly 15-50kb image. Neglect doing this and no-one will stay at your site - as they dont usually want to wait 5 minutes for each page to load!

Best free graphics program on the net: http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/default.asp I'd use it myself if I didnt have to justify the hundreds I had already spend on another graphics sofware package!

    Traffic

Traffic: the holy grail of internet survival. Without traffic then the above two actions are a waste of time as noone will see those nice words and fast loading images. There's a ton of ebooks written about traffic and new ones come out every week. Here's my viewpoint -

there are three ways to get traffic :

    3 Core Traffic Generation Strategies

    1. Buy It - This is traffic you pay for. Pay-per-click advertising, banner advertising, co-registrations etc, all fall under this category. In the newsletters I will be sending out we will cover this in more details. But for now the MINIMUM you should be doing on the paid traffic area is Google Adwords. Add to that some safelists, traffic exchanges and coreg and you'll be rolling in it. And before you groan at those last three items and say they only for a few people... you're right. They only work for those people who know how to make them work. That could be you - we will cover that in more detail in the newsletters.

    2. Attract It - This is traffic where you deliberately 'engineer' an environment that attracts visitors from Search Engines. SEO, Social networking, Blogging, Feeder Sites, affiliates etc all fall under this category. Now SEO is a massive subject. Massive. I'll be sending you a free ebook on it fairly soon. In the meantime (shamless plug) dont forget I offer search engine optimisation as a service as well.

    3. Steal It - This is traffic that you get from joint ventures. No freebies here sorry!. Just a tip. Look out for sites like http://thesupergifts.com/ , http://www.viralmarketinggiveaway6.com/ and others. You join as a JV partner, put up an item for free and when someone downloads its from you, you get their name and address.

Which brings me to point 4 of the three strategies (!) LIST BUILDING. You've gone to the expense of getting people to your site and guess what. They didnt buy first time. MOST WONT. So are you just going to let them go? No. Get them on a mailing list and you can present your case to them many many times over. And who knows maybe by the third or seventh or tenth time they WILL buy from you. List building is a major major major topic we will cover in the newsletters. So stay subscribed!
